Nordic Installations are looking for 2 candidates to work within a well established business as Level 2 Fenestration Fabrication apprentices.
The Apprentice’s Role
The company are looking for someone to gain the skills required to deliver a product of the highest quality in keeping with the company’s service and products.
For this apprenticeship route everything will be taught at the workplace, and no college attendance is required.
Working Hours: The working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm. Some flexibility will be required due to the nature of the job.
Wages: £192.40 per week, based on 40 hour week. Any overtime above the 40 hours per week, will be paid at the appropriate national minimum wage depending on age.
Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

The company works very closely with COMAR & SMART Systems in the development and specification of architectural aluminium systems which are then constructed by our in-house fabricators and engineers. Access to this relationship and skilled fabricators has benefited many of the more challenging projects Nordic Installations Ltd has been involved with.
With the appointment to each project of a dedicated point of contact within Nordic Installations Ltd, clients are ensured smooth communications and quick response to technical challenges… a personal service that is becoming a rare commodity, especially on large-scale developments.
Skills Required
You will need to have a strong work ethic, enjoy working in a team and have a strong willingness to achieve a nationally recognised qualification. Attention to detail and a strong awareness of Health and Safety are a must.

The successful candidate needs to be polite, reliable and hardworking, confident and a strong team player.
Prior Qualifications
No previous qualifications are required for the role, but a sound grasp of Maths is important as you work to plans from surveys at all times with the job.
The Apprenticeship in Fenestration consists of:
Most aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with the employer, and you will have regular site visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.
Skills Group will also support you to achieve Emergency First Aid and a Health and Safety Certificate, along with Internet Safety and Safeguarding.
You will also be supported by Skills Group to complete your CSCS online test, to achieve your CSCS Card which enables you to carry out site work, if required.
