Green Circle Bespoke Glazing Ltd are looking to take on a Fenestration Fabrication apprentice to join their team in Derriford.

The Apprentices Role

Learning the manufacture processes of Aluminium glazing products (Windows,doors,sliding and Bi-folding doors).

Further duties include:

  • Basic warehouse duties and handling of profiles and deliveries
  • Working from design drawings to fabricate windows and doors
  • Applying hardware and beading windows
  • Using automated machinery (after training)
  • Assembly work using hand tools (after training)
  • Assisting with deliveries
  • Complying with all Health and Safety Polices

Working Hours: Most weeks you will work between 37 to 40 hours per week, depending on the employer’s workload

Wages: £200.00 per week (based on 40 hours at £5.00 per hour)

Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

Skills Required

  • Preferable knowledge of hand tools (drills, screwdrivers etc…)
  • Physically able to complete reasonable lifting

Prior Qualifications

GCSE English and Maths A*-C (9-4) or equivalent is desirable, but not essential.

The Apprenticeship in Fenestration consists of:

  • Level 2 Fenestration Fabrication Standard

Most aspects of your training will be delivered on-site with the employer, and you will have regular site visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme.

Skills Group will also support you to achieve Emergency First Aid and a Health and Safety Certificate, along with Internet Safety and Safeguarding.

You will also be supported by Skills Group to complete your CSCS online test, to achieve your CSCS Card which enables you to carry out site work, if required.
