TEC Packaging is a packaging supplies distribution company who are looking for someone who wants to learn all aspects of a commercial office which includes administration, sales, purchasing and book keeping. The successful candidate will be working with 4 others.

The Apprentice’s Role

As TEC Packaging are a small organisation, there will be an opportunity to learn a range of tasks. Some duties will include:

  • Administrative duties
  • Dealing with orders
  • Communication with Customers and Suppliers via telephone or email
  • Working closely with Purchase and Sales; processing orders
  • Finance and Accounts

Due to the nature of the job role, you may also deal with distribution queries.

Working Hours: The working hours will be 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 8:30am-4:30pm, with a 30 minute lunch break.

Wages: £195.00 per week, based on a 37.5 hour week (£5.20 per hour, above National Minimum Apprenticeship Wage).

Holiday: 25 days holiday entitlement (plus bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship.

TEC Packaging are a small distribution company who offer extensive sustainable packaging solutions. They have grown rapidly over the last 3 years, with the packaging spend increase online, and so the successful applicant will have the opportunity to learn a range of skills within various departments.

Prior Qualifications

GCSE grades in English and Maths A*-C (9-4), or the equivalent grades are desirable but not essential.

The Apprenticeship in Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship consists of:

  • Level 3 Business Administration Standard
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English

You will attend monthly sessions as part of your off the job training throughout your apprenticeship. Most aspects of your training will be delivered on site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.

You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme
