Brody Forbes are looking for a hard working, reliable Level 2 Customer Service apprentice to join their team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Answering and transferring telephone calls and passing on messages to staff.
  • Maintaining filing systems in hard copies and also electronically on the
    company’s server.
  • Ensuring goods inwards and goods outwards procedures are followed and
    the necessary paperwork checked
  • Ordering and maintaining office supplies such as stationery
  • Sorting and distributing incoming post and sending outgoing post
  • Running general errands
  • Typing up various correspondence

Working Hours: 37.5 hours per week. Working Hours are 09:00 – 17:30.

Wages: £243.75 per week, based on a 37.5 hour week. This employer is happy to pay above National Minimum Apprenticeship Wage.

Holiday: 28 days holiday entitlement (including bank holidays) will be paid each year, during the course of your apprenticeship. The office will close for 3-4 days over the Christmas period and this will form part of your annual holiday entitlement. Holiday entitlement is not to be carried forward to the next year without prior agreement. All holidays must be arranged at times to be agreed with the company. No more than two weeks holiday entitlement may be taken at any one time except in exceptional circumstances.

Brody Forbes is a team of highly experienced Civil and Structural Engineers, providing a wide range of building and engineering services. Brody Forbes also has a team of in-house qualified and experienced steel fabricators and are able to carry out the fabrication and erection of structural steelwork.

Skills Required

  • Excellent telephone manner.
  • Good level of customer service and communication skills.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • IT and Word processing skills

  • Accuracy
  • Must have good grammar in order to write professional letters and emails
  • Pleasant and polite as you are the first point of contact for the business.

Prior Qualifications

GCSE grades in English and Maths A*-C (9-4), or the equivalent grades are desirable but not essential.

The Apprenticeship in Level 3 Business Administration Apprenticeship consists of:

  • Level 3 Business Administration Standard
  • Functional Skills in Maths and English

You will attend monthly sessions as part of your off the job training throughout your apprenticeship. Most aspects of your training will be delivered on site by the employer, where you will gain all the skills, knowledge and experience to assist you in this role. Your duties will vary from day to day, and throughout your on site learning process you will work closely with experienced members of staff.

You will have regular visits every six to eight weeks from your designated assessor, who will help you and monitor your progress throughout your apprenticeship programme
